Our Team
I have had the opportunity to partner with people on emotional well-being journeys for many years. My background in corporate, non-profit, faith, and private practice environments provides a unique blend of insight, encouragement and inspiration.
My educational and career journey has provided me with an Undergraduate Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Minnesota, Graduate Degree in Mental Health Counseling, 10 years in corporate environments and over 12 years directly serving in a helping capacity. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor, Wife, Mother and Business Owner - I have had the honor of leveraging all of my God-given gifts coupled with learned skills to empower others from within.
I am dedicated to supporting stabilization and growth of individuals and families on the path to emotional and mental well-being. My integrative approach focuses on all aspects of your life to help identify the right therapeutic goals to elevate you to new levels of serenity.

As a therapist, I am kind and committed, with a strong background in social work. Wayne State University awarded me a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and a Master of Social Work (MSW). Having a solid background in supporting children and families in the foster care system, I was able to acquire priceless experience working in a variety of educational and community environments.
I am passionate about helping people reset, rejuvenate, and regain their vitality. I have dedicated my professional life to supporting positive results, giving compassionate care, and standing out for the rights of marginalized communities.
I support my clients by using evidence-based interventions to help them overcome obstacles in life and experience personal growth. My goal is to provide a secure and encouraging space for clients to explore their emotions and ideas. I'm committed to helping my clients achieve a more peaceful and balanced life because I firmly believe that empathy and understanding have the capacity to promote healing and personal development.

I believe everyone can benefit from therapy at some point in their lives. I know there can be a lot of stigma around mental health and the perceptions that can come with it, but therapy is about having a space to freely express your true self without judgement. Therapy is a space for transformation - healing, breaking old habits, gaining new ones, reflecting on thought patterns and building resilience for whatever life throws your way. My greatest joy as a therapist is being a part of your story and witnessing your journey towards resilience.
I specialize in working with children, teens, adults, and families working to cope with depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, bullying, social skills, self esteem, sleep disorders, stress and burnout, relationship issues, parenting issues, and boundary setting. My approach is client-centered, focusing on understanding your unique experiences and tailoring our sessions to meet your specific needs. Our work together will combine numerous theoretical approaches and techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, family based treatment, and motivational interviewing all geared to helping you to identify strengths within yourself and develop self-awareness.
